We are delighted to announce that Debra Ives has joined HYELM as our Chief Executive, starting her role on 30th September.

Debra brings over 20 years of experience in housing and homelessness across London. She has held senior roles at Evolve Housing and Support and Hestia, where she led diverse housing and community services, gaining extensive expertise in housing management, fire safety, and the development of housing and community initiatives.

Her deep commitment to providing decent, affordable places to live aligns perfectly with HYELM’s mission, and we’re thrilled to have her at the helm as we plan for the future.

Debra shares:

“I am really excited to be here. HYELM has a rich history, founded in 1926; and has not just provided affordable housing but also a sense of community to so many people over almost 100 years. I’m looking forward to working with our residents, amazing team, and dedicated Board to develop a long-term strategy that will help HYELM prosper into its next century.”

Under Debra’s leadership, we look forward to building on HYELM’s nearly 100-year legacy and continuing to provide a safe, supportive, and affordable housing community for young people in London.

Please join us in welcoming Debra to HYELM!
