Residents will have noticed that over the past 2 years we have been making significant improvements to HYELM – Old Street’s apartments. Scheduling the renovations work floor by floor, to date 46 out of 105 apartments have been completed with the final works set to be finished by mid-2026. As we are nearly halfway through, we wanted to provide you with an update.
The aim of the project has been to modernise the apartments to suit the current and future needs of our residents. During the process, we have listened to feedback and made alterations in design and layout of the apartments to improve the HYELM living experience.
The refurbishments include the installation of new cluster kitchen and dining room areas with new kitchen cabinets, worktops and appliances. Plus more practical and stylish furniture to complete the look of the shared areas so that you feel more comfortable and invited to relax and socialise.
Alongside the new shared areas, the bedrooms and bathrooms have been transformed with new bathroom suites in every apartment. The bathrooms have new showers, basins and WC’s bringing a fresh look to the ensuites.
The bedroom renovations include new decorations as well as new furniture to match the overall look of the flats. Each refurbished flat has ample storage and space to work, relax and sleep with new beds, desks, shelves and wardrobes.
Services to the apartments have been improved with new lighting, chrome sockets and a high-speed Wi-Fi connection available on the refurbished floors.
